Young Footballers Chosen As ‘Virtual’ Mascots For England

Six youngsters from Glen Villa Juniors Football Club in Great Glen will be ‘virtual’ mascots for England at tonight’s friendly against Wales.
They were chosen to be player escorts by the FA as a reward for the high ‘respect’ marks given to the club by opposition teams.
Because of the pandemic the players, aged 8 to 10, can’t accompany the team onto the pitch at Wembley in person, but got to watch and speak to the squad as they arrived at their training ground earlier this week, in an exclusive link-up via Zoom.
And the club’s Chairman, Jonny Hales told Hfm they will still be treated to something special tonight:
