Arrest After Police Deploy ‘Stinger’ To End Pursuit

A police pursuit ended when a ‘stinger’ device was used to puncture the tyres of a car that failed to stop for officers in Desborough last night.

They spotted the blue Toyota Corolla driving erratically on Pipewell Road at 10.40pm and followed it towards Rushton, before the car was halted a short time later on Bridge Street in Rothwell.

The occupants fled on foot, but were located near-by shortly afterwards.

A man aged 21 from Corby was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
