Man Charged With Stealing Canal Boat

A man has been charged with stealing a canal boat from North Kilworth Marina.
Police were called on Saturday morning and intercepted a boat on the Grand Union Canal close to the village of Watford in Northamptonshire at 11.30am.

Ian Silman, 46, from Aldwych Avenue, Blackpool, is accused of taking a conveyance without consent and causing criminal damage to a narrowboat.
He will now appear before Magistrates.
