Fundraising Drive Launched After School Fire

An on-line fundraiser set-up to help Uppingham Community College following Wednesday’s serious fire has doubled its initial target.

An electrical fault is being blamed for the blaze, which badly damaged classrooms, the library and gym, and has delayed the re-opening of the school, which was set for Monday.

Over £2,000 has been donated to the fund, with former pupils from across the country contributing.
