Man Rescued After Falling Off Ladder

A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury after falling off a ladder and landing on a flat roof in Wilbarston.
Emergency services were called to Springfield Road just before 1pm, with firefighters using a stretcher, ladders and lowering lines to safely get him to the ground.
Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service say the man, in his 70s, had been cleaning gutters before he fell.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.58pm today, to Wilbarston to assist with a medical emergency.
“We sent a crewed ambulance and transported one patient to Kettering General Hospital.”
