New Financial Help For Small Businesses
Written by HFM News on 4th June 2020
Small businesses across Harborough who so far have not received any financial help during the Coronavirus pandemic can now apply for a share of £1m of cash assistance.
Harborough Council is administering the new government scheme, with firms able to make applications for the next two weeks.
The fund is prioritising firms in shared offices, regular market traders with fixed building costs, bed and breakfasts which pay Council Tax and some charity properties, as well as seasonal tourism companies, independent food and drink producers and those in the creative and agricultural industries.
Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We are delighted that we are able to provide more local businesses with financial support at this challenging time. This scheme builds on the Government funding, totalling over £20m, which we have already helped allocate to businesses across the district. The positive feedback we’ve had makes it clear what this financial help means, and I encourage any business which has not received support in the previous rounds to apply online if they meet criteria.”
Applications need to be made on-line via the council’s website here
The deadline is midnight on Wednesday June 17th.
