The go-ahead has been given for a new housing estate in Great Bowden.
Harborough Council’s planning committee approved the plan for 33 homes to go up on the Bowden Fencing site, off Leicester Lane, when it met last night in a virtual on-line meeting.

The plan was narrowly approved, with five members of the Planning Committee voting in favour and four against.
The Parish Council objected along with some villagers.
Concerns raised included the fact the village has already seen a number of new housing developments over the past few years.
Meanwhile, the plan for a new flood-lit all-weather sports pitch at Robert Smyth Academy in Market Harborough was also approved.
As well as students, it will be used by the town’s hockey club and made available to other community groups once constructed on part of the school field off Burnmill Road.
Planning permission was granted with the condition the floodlights must not be used after 7pm.
Harborough Council has apologised after a technical problem meant people were unable to view the virtual meeting live.
A spokesman said: “Due to technical issues, some people were unable to view Tuesday evening’s online planning meeting. We apologise for this and are currently investigating further.”
