Former B&M Store Set To Become Gym

The former B&M store in Market Harborough town centre is set to be turned into a gym.
A company owned by Harborough Council has agreed terms with national firm The Gym Group to move into the building in the Commons Car Park, which it bought last year, together with the adjoining one occupied by Tesco.

The B&M store closed earlier this month
It is now seeking planning permission to allow it to be used for leisure purposes, instead of retail.
B&M closed its store there earlier this month to concentrate operations at its bigger outlet on Rockingham Road.
Planning documents state the unit would likely remain empty if it remains as a shop, as has proved unsuccessful for a number of major retailers.
The Gym Group operates over 170 outlets across the country, with most open 24 hours a day.
