St Lukes Treatment Centre is 3 years old

Saturday 7th March marks three years since the new St Luke’s Treatment Centre first opened it’s doors in Market Harborough.

However, questions are still being asked about the extra services promised there when the state-of-the-art building replaced the Cottage Hospital.

NHS managers said there’d be more clinics and an increased number of specialists – to save patients having to travel to hospitals elsewhere.

But there are claims this hasn’t happened, with parts of the centre – which cost seven point five million pounds to build – still sitting unused.

Leader of the opposition on Harborough District Council, Phil Knowles, has raised his concerns with the local clinical commissioning group, and says he hopes to get some answers soon.
