Hard hitting play to take to the stage
Written by HFM on 5th March 2020
Schoolchildren in the Harborough District will be alerted to the dangers
of violent drug gangs by a hard-hitting touring play being staged here
next month.
Commissioned by Leicestershire Police, “County Lines” will warn pupils –
and also parents, teachers and professionals – about the national drug
trafficking threat.
Performed by three actors, it’ll raise awareness about menacing and
sinister County Lines gangs and how they target vulnerable young people
– and also educate children where to go for help and advice.
Theatre company AlterEgo Creative Solutions will be presenting its new
play to pupils in Year 7 upwards – at both Welland Park Academy in
Market Harborough and Lutterworth High School – on Thursday the 23rd of
April.
