Local MP leads debate about leasehold properties

Harborough’s MP has been speaking out on behalf of residents on a ten year old Market Harborough housing estate – who’ve recently found themselves facing massive price hikes from their property management company.
87 leaseholders on Market Harborough’s Farndon Fields development are currently in the process of setting up a residents’ association – in a bid to take over the maintenance of communal areas and open spaces around their homes.
On Tuesday afternoon (3rd March) afternoon Neil O’Brien led a debate at Westminster Hall about the problems of living in leasehold and so-called ‘fleecehold’ properties – which he said are becoming increasingly common on new housing developments.
