An arsonist who endangered dozens of lives in Husbands Bosworth has gone on the run from prison.
Daniel Milburn – who was jailed for five and a half years in 2018 – went missing from HMP Kirkham – an open prison near Preston in Lancashire on Wednesday.
He set fire to bins at the Brooke House Care home in August that year, endangering residents and staff inside, before starting a blaze outside flats, that led to a family having to flee, and then set fire a camper van.
Police have launched a nationwide search for the 35-year-old.
He is described as being 5ft 9in tall, of medium to heavy build. He has brown eyes, cropped/shaven black hair and speaks with a Welsh accent. He also has tattoos including ‘SUE’ on his left finger and a Batman symbol on his back.
Milburn has links to Leicester, South Wales, Lancashire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
Anyone who has seen Milburn or knows where he might be is urged to call 101 quoting log number 1402 of 22 January.
