Concern After ‘Laughing Gas’ Canisters Found

Police have warned of the dangers of inhaling nitrous oxide after 50 used canisters were found at the Warwick Road recreation ground in Kibworth.

Known as ‘laughing gas’ or ‘Noz’ it’s released by people into balloons and then inhaled.
It’s illegal to sell the small silver capsules for psychoactive purposes and it was linked to five deaths in the UK last year.
Evidence of it being used elsewhere, like the Symington’s Rec in Market Harborough, has also been found in recent weeks.
