Driver Clocked At Nearly 100mph

A driver was caught speeding at nearly 100mph on the A6 between Kibworth and Great Glen yesterday afternoon.

Police carried out a speed enforcement operation following concerns about how fast some cars are travelling on the bypass.

One driver was clocked going at 96mph – another at 91 and a number over 85mph.

Speeding tickets were issued by officers, who say they will return to carry out more checks in the area in the near future.

Last year one car was stopped during a similar operation on the bypass for travelling at 122mph.
