Rare Beatles Album Found In Desborough

A rare copy of the Beatles’ first album will be auctioned for charity in Market Harborough, after being unearthed in Desborough.
The stereo edition of Please Please Me, on Parlophone Record, was discovered by auctioneer Mark Gilding, after it was donated to Marlow House Community Centre in Desborough, as part of a house clearance.
At the time in the 60s the LP wasn’t readily available in records shops, with most of the albums in mono.
Although the record is not in mint condition, it is expected to sell for at least £400 when it goes under the hammer at Gildings Auctioneers in June.
Proceeds of the sale will go to the Vine Community Trust which operates Marlow House.
