Homes Plans Set To Be Rejected

Plans to build homes on the site of a fencing company in Great Bowden are set to be rejected.
Harborough Council officers say the proposal for the Bowden Fencing site on Leicester Lane goes against the village’s neighbourhood plan, because it would result in the loss of land in commercial use.

Councillors, who will consider the plan next week, are being urged to refuse planning permission for the new estate of 31 houses
The company, which has been there since the 1960s, is likely to shut if houses were built on the three acre site, as it has no plans to re-locate.
