Thieves Steal Car After Daytime Raid

A car was stolen after a number of men burst into a house in Lutterworth in broad daylight and demanded the keys.

The VW Golf was then driven off the driveway of the property on Douglas Bader Drive, shortly after 1.30pm on Sunday.

Police, who found the vehicle abandoned in Coventry later in the day, say one person was in the house at the time but they were not injured, and enquiries to locate those responsible are continuing.

Anyone with information should call officers on 101, quoting incident 385 of 30 March.

It was the second incident of its kind to happen in Lutterworth in the past month.
