‘Amazing Support’ After Burglary

An animal charity targeted by thieves is thanking the public for its “amazing” support.

Raiders who broke into Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital on Fleckney Road in Kibworth, in the early hours of last Sunday, stole large quantities of animal feed – as well as vital care and rescue equipment.

The thefts were a huge blow to the centre – which is currently trying to look after over 300 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and birds.

After news of the break-in spread, vets, animal food suppliers, shops, the RSPCA and individuals have donated money, animal food and other items to replace those stolen.
