Cemetery Fence Finally To Be Replaced

Written by on 21st March 2019

An unsightly, wire mesh fence – which was put in place to substitute original wrought iron railings removed during World War Two – is finally to be replaced!
The prominent boundary to Market Harborough Cemetery – alongside Northampton Road – has been in need of attention for some time.
After years of trying by Harborough District Council’s Deputy Leader, Phil King, the mesh fence is set to be renewed with a more robust, new metal one – as part of Harborough District Council’s “Grow on Space” project.
The cost of the new fencing will be paid for by HDC contractors Willmott Dixon.
