Post Office Safe Until July

Market Harborough’s Town Centre Post Office is safe until at least the middle of July.

A three-month extension to the branch inside the GT News Shop in St Mary’s Place has been granted, while discussions continue with those who have expressed an interest in taking on the service.

It had been due to shut in mid-April.

The Post Office say the extension will give them more time to review the options available and hopefully ensure a smooth continuation of the service elsewhere.

It was revealed last month the branch would close in its current location due to the Sub Postmaster resigning, leading to fears the town centre could be left without a Post Office.
