King Charles I Returns To Tur Langton!

King Charles I is being brought back to life in Tur Langton tomorrow.

History enthusiast Daniel Williams will be dressed as the Stuart monarch are he recreates history from 374 years ago.

He’ll walk from the The Crown Pub to the King Charles Well located in a field near-by, which many people are unaware exists.

It was where the King visited after he fled from defeat following the Battle Of Naseby in June 1645, to water his horse.

Daniel’s visited over 30 places linked to Charles over the past year and has recreated the king in an attempt to fire people’s imaginations and interest in history as he tours the country visiting significant places Charles visited during his reign from 1625 to 1649.

He’s inviting people to join him tomorrow from 12.30pm at The Crown in the village as he makes the journey.
