Awards For Local Sport

There are celebrations today after local sports teams and individuals won top awards last night.
Market Harborough trampolining star Andrew Stamp picked up the Young Sportsman of the Year title at the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards, in recognition of his silver medal at last year’s Youth Olympic Games.
Market Harborough’s Borough Alliance Football Club were named Club Of The Year.
Club Chairman Mick Draper spoke to Hfm and said the award was dedicated to volunteers and parents:
The Kibworth School under-16s football club won the Team Of The Year award.
