Anti-Speeding Campaign Starts To Pay Off

farndon2Twenty drivers are facing prosecution after being caught speeding through East Farndon during the first checks prompted by a residents’ campaign.

They were clocked breaking the 30 mile mph limit by a Police Safety Camera van last week.

A campaign was mounted earlier this year after a number of near-misses between cars and pedestrians that led to the Police adding the village to locations to be regularly visited for speed checks.

Villagers have also produced stickers to place on their bins and erected two cardboard Policemen holding speed cameras, as part of the bid to get people to slow down.
