Thirty pubs across the Harborough District are supporting a campaign to help people who feel uneasy while out on a date.
The ‘Ask For Angela’ initiative encourages them to discreetly approach staff if they’re concerned about someone’s behaviour or actions.
By asking for ‘Angela’, staff know customers need assistance and can be taken aside, or to a safer location, like a staff area.
Posters are up in all the venues promoting the fact.
Since it was launched by Leicestershire County Council earlier this year more and more venues have signed up, including The Royalist, Sugarloaf, Freemason’s Arms and Beerhouse in Market Harborough and Coach & Horses in Lubenham.
