13 Lambs Die After Dog Attack At Farm

Thirteen lambs have died after being attacked by a dog in a field in Braybrooke.
Some were killed instantly and others had to be put down, because they were so badly injured.
A number of other lambs hurt are recovering after veterinary treatment.
The attack happened sometime between 10pm on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday in a field off Harrington Road.
People are being urged to keep dogs on leads near live-stock and being reminded out of control dogs chasing livestock can be legally shot dead by farmers.
Harriet Ranson, from the Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland branch of the National Farmers Union, told Hfm the farmer has been left devastated:

The value of the lost livestock is around £1,200, with vets bills on top of that.
Northamptonshire Police is appealing for anyone who knows anything about the attack to call them on 101.
