Work has stepped up on the site of a new school for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Market Harborough.

The former Roman Way Community Centre is being converted into a school after education provider Aurora Group received planning permission last month.

Renovations are taking place both inside and outside the building, with a new multi-use games area also being created.

The school, which will be called Aurora Brampton Valley School, is set to open this autumn and will accommodate just under 90 pupils aged five to 19.

More than 60 staff members will support the pupils, with the new primary and secondary provision serving children and young people with SEND from across the Market Harborough area.
