Market Harborough’s new permanent Banking Hub is set to open by the end of the year.
Work has started to convert the former Solutions gift shop in St Mary’s Place into the facility.
The hub, which serves customers of multiple banks, has been operating temporarily from the Symington Building since March, following several town centre branch closures.

The permanent hub will continue to be run by Cash Access UK and operated by Post Office.
Gareth Thomas, president of Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce, told HFM it is a good location:
A spokesperson for Cash Access UK said: “Our team is working hard to open the Market Harborough Banking Hub in its permanent home at St Mary’s Place and it is hoped that it will be ready to move into by the end of the year.
“The hub will continue to offer the same services as the temporary site at the Symington Building, including everyday banking transactions available every weekday.
“For more complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site on designated days to provide support.”
