Harborough Events and Venues Shortlisted for Tourism Awards

Events and venues in and around Market Harborough have been shortlisted in this year’s Leicestershire Tourism and Hospitality Awards.

The contest, organised by Leicestershire Promotions, is the regional stage of the national Visit England Awards for Excellence.

Market Harborough Christmas Fayre and the Party in the Park for VE Day’s 80th anniversary are finalists in the Best Event and Festival category, together with Steampunk at Harborough Market.

Juliette Maher, organiser of the Christmas Fayre and Party in the Park event, told HFM how it feels to see both make the finals:

Foxton Canal Museum and Windmill Farm Park in Kibworth Harcourt are also in the running for awards, having been shortlisted in the Great Places to Visit category.

Gold, silver, and bronze winners will be revealed at a ceremony at Athena in Leicester on December 3rd.

Thirteen of the regional winners will then go on to be shortlisted for the national Visit England Awards for Excellence.
