Work Begins On Kibworth’s New Skatepark

Work has started to build a new skatepark in Kibworth.

The state-of-the-art facility is being constructed in Warwick Park after funding of over £260,000 was secured by Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council.

Young people have been involved in helping to design the facility, which is being constructed near the children’s play area and replaces a previous skatepark which closed in 2017.

The funding for the skatepark was provided under the ‘Section 106’ scheme, where housing developers contribute towards community facilities and specialist firm Canvass Spaces were chosen to design and construct it.
