Witness Appeal After Fatal Crash On A14

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men died following a crash on the A14 last night.

It happened on the westbound carriageway between junction one (Welford) and the M1/M6 junctions at 9.15pm and involved a white Volkswagen Caddy van and a lorry.

The passenger in the van – a man aged in his 40s – died at the scene.

The driver – a man aged in his 20s – died when he was struck by a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, after it is believed he got out of the van and entered the eastbound carriageway.

Detectives from Northamptonshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of either collision or anyone who may have witnessed what happened.
