Welford Author Publishes First Children’s Book

An author from Welford has published her first children’s book which is based on a very personal story.

Pat Moores was inspired to write ‘Bernard The Dog in the Furry Suit’ after she was widowed at a young age and the family’s pet dog Jack played a vital role in her relationship with her young daughter.

The picture book for three to six year olds aims to promote tolerance and not judging on appearance and is the first in a series of four books to be released.

Publishing the book is a lifetime ambition for Pat, who began penning stories when she was aged in her 20s and has been supported by her family in achieving the goal.
