Weekend Rail Disruption

Market Harborough train passengers are being warned of more disruption
ahead as a further series of strikes takes place at the start of
October.

East Midlands Railways is warning of a significantly reduced service
this Saturday (1st October) due to action by members of both the RMT and
TSSA unions. It’s in a continuing dispute over safety, pay and
conditions.

We’re advised to travel only if absolutely necessary and that services
will run just between 7.30am and 6.30pm. Also, there’ll only be one
Intercity train per hour between Nottingham and London in both
directions calling at Market Harborough.

Even worse disruption is expected on Wednesday, October 5th –  when
another strike by members of drivers’ union ASLEF means EMR is not
expecting to run any train services through Market Harborough at all.
