Weekend Rail Disruption

Market Harborough train passengers are being warned of more disruptionahead as a further series of strikes takes place at the start ofOctober.East Midlands Railways is warning of a significantly reduced servicethis Saturday (1st October) due to action by members of both the RMT andTSSA unions. It’s in a continuing dispute over safety, pay andconditions.We’re advised to travel only if absolutely necessary and that serviceswill run just between 7.30am and 6.30pm. Also, there’ll only be oneIntercity train per hour between Nottingham and London in bothdirections calling at Market Harborough.Even worse disruption is expected on Wednesday, October 5th –  whenanother strike by members of drivers’ union ASLEF means EMR is notexpecting to run any train services through Market Harborough at all.
