Man Arrested After Occupants Of Car Flee After Crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crashed on Main Street in Bushby early this morning.
Leicestershire Police say the occupants of the vehicle fled after the collision happened just before 4.30am and he was arrested a short time later.
No other vehicles were involved.
A spokesperson told HFM: “Officers attended, along with the East Midlands Ambulance Service, but the occupants of the vehicle had already left the scene.
“Following enquiries carried out in the area a 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.”
Police are appealing for information relating to the incident – call 101 and quote crime reference number 22*574495.
The road was closed for several hours following the crash and reopened at 9am.
