Warning After Would-Be Thief Tries Door

Shoppers are being warned to be on guard after a man tried to open a car door in a Market Harborough car park.

It’s thought he was trying to steal a handbag on the passenger seat, after the female driver got into the vehicle, near Homebase in the Springfield Street car park, on Friday.

The car doors were locked though and he ran away.

There were incidents earlier in the year where bags were stolen from shoppers after they had just returned to their cars.
