Villagers rallied round to help after a 20-metre long section of wall collapsed in Lubenham yesterday afternoon.

Hundreds of bricks were left scattered across School Lane after the six foot-high structure came crashing down at around 2.30pm, with no warning.

Luckily no-one was walking or driving past at the time.

Police were called and closed the road, while people from the the street helped the owner of the house the wall borders, clear the debris.

It’s not clear what caused the wall to come down.
