Vandals Spray Corrosive Liquid On Around 30 Vehicles In Harborough Street

Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused after a corrosive substance was sprayed on around 30 vehicles in Market Harborough.

The vandal attack happened in Caxton Street late on Saturday or early yesterday, leaving the bodywork of cars and vans badly damaged.

The fire service attended to assess the hazardous substance and Police have launched an investigation.

Some of the vehicles damaged included a grey Volkswagen T-Cross, a blue Volkswagen Passat, a white Volkswagen Caddy, a silver Ford Fiesta, a silver Chevrolet Cruze, a blue Citroen C4 and a Toyota CHR.

One of the vehicles left with the most damage is owned by Amy Bradshaw, who also spoke to Hfm:

Police say house-to-house enquiries have been undertaken in the local area and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to come forward.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage showing a group of people in the area.
