Vandalism to double decker buses in Desborough

A Desborough bus operator says it managed to get most school services running again today – despite serious damage to 17 double deckers at its depot over Easter.Vandals struck at Hamilton’s Coaches depot at around twenty-five past five last Thursday afternoon (13th April) – breaking into the yard before smashing 124 bus windows.

The incident at Pipewell Road Industrial Estate was partly captured on CCTV – appearing to show three young males wearing dark clothing vandalising the vehicles, as can be seen below…https://www.facebook.com/100055506651072/videos/712354684223782…although the footage is not clear enough to identify them.

The operator had to borrow coaches from other companies to provide school transport this morning (Monday 17th April) and estimates the repair bill for the damage could run into six figures.

Hamilton’s is now offering a £1000 reward for any information that leads to a conviction of those responsible.
