Van Driver Admits Leading Police On Pursuit Through Harborough Villages

A van driver has admitted leading Police on a high-speed pursuit through Harborough villages.
James Ward failed to stop for officers in Wistow on Wednesday evening and drove into oncoming traffic on a number of occasions during the 25 minute pursuit, which eventually ended in Leicester.
The incident involved several police officers and assistance from a National Police Air Service helicopter.
Ward, 33, of Ocean Road in Leicester pleaded guilty to eight offences at Leicester Magistrates Court today, including dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen, failing to stop and possessing cannabis.
He was remanded into custody ahead of sentencing at Leicester Crown Court next month.
