Ukrainian Children’s Book Library Opens In Market Harborough

A Ukrainian children’s book library has opened in Market Harborough after a 14-year-old girl came up with the idea.

It has been set-up at the Methodist Church, where members of the Ukrainian community regularly meet, most of whom moved here when the war broke out.

Many of the young Ukrainian children who arrived in Market Harborough are learning English at school, but still need to keep-up with Ukrainian, for when they return to the country.

Over 100 children’s books were transported to Market Harborough from the Dnipro City Library in Ukraine, after local councillors funded the cost.
