Two Drive-Thrus Planned For Harborough Business Park

Two new drive-thrus are included in latest plans to expand a business park on the outskirts of Market Harborough at a cost of £16.5m.
The units are earmarked for Airfield Business Park off the B6047 Harborough Road, opposite Harborough Innovation Centre.
Although it has not been revealed who will occupy them, a council document labels one as a ‘Coffee Drive-Thru’ and it is understood the other could be a fast-food restaurant.

Leicestershire County Council, which is behind the plan, says it has already agreed terms with potential tenants for the drive-thru units.
A large industrial building and 16 smaller units are also included in the proposal, which replaces a previous scheme deemed no longer viable, due to increases in construction costs.
The council’s Cabinet today agreed the funding for the development, which will be subject to planning permission.
The meeting heard the expansion will create around 250 jobs during the construction phase and when the new buildings are occupied, bringing the potential of an extra £11m to the local economy.
