Two Arrests & Dogs Seized Over Fears Of ‘Neglect’

A man and woman from Desborough have been questioned by Police on suspicion of animal cruelty after a number of dogs were seized from a house.
They were arrested after officers raised concerns about the welfare of two terriers, a Chihuahua and three puppies, while making unrelated enquiries at the address yesterday.
The dogs were treated by a vet and the two people arrested, a man aged 28 and a woman aged 34, have been released on bailed pending further enquiries by Police and the RSPCA.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Concerns over the animals’ welfare led to the seizure, and officers are liaising with the RSCPA about the dogs’ ongoing welfare and care.”
