Tributes Paid To Much-Loved Market Harborough Street Cleaner

Tributes are being paid to a much-loved Market Harborough man who spent his entire working life keeping the town clean.

Billy Kimpton, who has died aged 73, started work for the council when he left school in the early 1970’s aged 16, and continued as a street cleaner until his retirement 30 years later.

Billy is being remembered as a wonderful character and absolute gentleman – always smiling, cheerful and upbeat.

His family have thanked people for their kind words and support.

Billy’s funeral will take place at Great Glen Crematorium on Thursday at 12.30pm.
