Travellers Move On Within A Few Hours

Groups of travellers who moved onto two areas in Market Harborough left within a few hours.

Leicestershire Police were alerted after a number of caravans and vehicles entered the Sainsbury’s Car Park on Springfield Street just after 5pm yesterday.

Officers were then called to a field behind Harborough Leisure Centre an hour later.

A force spokesperson told HFM both groups left of their own accord and no ‘notice to leave’ was issued.
