Traders ‘Delighted To Be Back’ At Harborough Market
Written by HFM News on 13th April 2021
Traders have been telling Hfm ‘it’s great to be back’, after Harborough Market fully re-opened today.
Stallholders have returned to the General Hall for the first time in over three months, including some new ones.
The Food Hall at the indoor market has remained open throughout the pandemic, but it only now ‘non-essential’ traders can go back, following the easing of lockdown restrictions.
The market has been busy today and Jeweller Simon Agius, who runs Soel Beads, told Hfm how it feels to be back:
Susan Mason is joint owner of eco-products company Rural Trading, who also returned to the Market today:
The weekly Vintage, retro & antiques market returns tomorrow.
A spokesperson for the Market said: “Today is the day! We are so happy to welcome back the rest of our traders, and to welcome some new ones.
“We have missed our lovely customers, your smiling faces, the chitter chatter in the main hall and of course our fantastic businesses who have had the difficult task of waiting at the sidelines.
“Come on in – our doors are open – 8am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
“Social distancing measures are still in place for your safety and peace of mind, hand sanitiser is located at the doors, capacity monitoring is in place, and the one way system still stands in the food hall.
“If you pop along today, everyone entering via the St Mary’s Place doors will receive a free Harborough Market tote bag to fill with all of your shopping!”
