Town Centre Enhancement Work Continues

Work to enhance Market Harborough town centre is continuing.
New litter bins, signage and barriers have been installed along the High Street, along with a new visitor information board.
A wooden planter has also been put in place on Church Square and new benches will be installed across the town centre later this summer.

Harborough District Council is carrying out the public realm improvements after being awarded money from the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
Rebecca Tomlin, Economic Development Manager, said: “The town centre has seen several enhancements over the past year, such as new barriers along the High Street and branded furniture in the new cultural quarter, on Church Square, including a planter.
“Additionally, the Memorial Gardens have been improved, with new signage and seating.
“New benches will be installed in Church Square, High Street and Upper High Street in late July to complement the planters, which were funded by Harborough District Council for Market Harborough in Bloom.”
