Written by HFM News on 17th August 2024
Harborough Town Football Club is hosting its first ever women’s tournament tomorrow.
It follows the rapid rise of the women’s game at the club, after the ‘Queen Bees’ squad was formed in 2020.
The seven-a-side tournament comes ahead of the team entering a competitive league for the first time next month.
Joint-manager of Harborough’s women’s side is Loreen Herzig:

The team was set-up by a small group of mums who shared a vision of creating a space where women of all abilities and ages could come together to enjoy a game of football.
Tomorrow’s tournament is free to watch and will see teams from Milton Keynes, Hinckley, Market Harborough (Borough Alliance), Desborough and Albert Village represented.
