Thief Takes 8 Seconds To Break Into Van

It took a thief just eight seconds to break into a van in Great Glen before stealing power tools and equipment worth £1,000

They were caught on CCTV outside Levi Genders’ house on Main Street, on Friday night:

The footage shows a car pulling up in front of the Mercedes Sprinter parked on the road, near the Co-Op, before one man gets out and uses some kind of instrument to open the rear doors.

Another then joins him as they remove the items including specialist Makita drills and a radio.

Levi – a stone worktop fitter – has shared the footage as a warning to other tradesmen:

Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses – anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 18*584387.
