The Village Celebrates 5th Birthday

The Village in Market Harborough is celebrating its 5th birthday with a new-look café bar.

The sustainable shopping outlet and eatery on St Mary’s Road was awarded funding from Harborough District Council to transform the kitchen and café area, to continue its mission of providing healthy and affordable food while reducing food waste.

The venue has become a a beacon of sustainability since opening in the town, providing eco-friendly products and locally-sourced food and drink, as well as being home to a Community Fridge and Harborough Fixers, who repair broken household items for free.

A dedicated team of volunteers support the work of The Village and co-founder Beth Lambert is proud of what the venue has achieved since it opened.
