Statue Stolen From Memorial In Lubenham

A statue of a dog has been stolen from a memorial to a popular villager in Lubenham.

The stonework sculpture was placed opposite the entrance to All Saints Church last month, as part of a lasting tribute to Terry Cain.

Villagers have taken to social media to condemn the theft, which happened on Monday evening or early yesterday.

Mr Cain, a former parish councillor, died in July 2023, aged 72 and the memorial was set-up at the junction of Rushes Lane and Church Walk in the village.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to come forward.
