Someone Moved Road Closed Barriers

Severn Trent Water say it is ‘disappointing’ someone moved road closed signs and barriers on Great Bowden Road overnight.

It meant vehicles could turn off Rockingham Road early this morning, before the three-week closure, that began yesterday,  to allow new water pipes to be laid. was brought back into force.

A spokesman for the company told Hfm: “We understand people’s frustrations but this is important work for Market Harborough and Great Bowden Road is shut for a good reason – to keep our workforce and local residents safe, especially as we’re using heavy machinery as part of the work.

“It’s disappointing that someone’s decided to do this and we’d urge everyone to respect the road closure to make sure everyone stays safe’”
